What Names do you have for your chickens?

I named my first few chicks after close friends and family. When they all began to die off, my friends, not the chicks, I knocked off that practice for the most part (too spooky) and just gave them the first names that popped into my head. Some of the later chicks went without names for awhile since I couldn't tell them apart. I put colored bands on their legs so I could remember which I'd named what.

Now if Amber doesn't tone down the "Gotta get this DANG egg outta me song", being rehomed may be for her own good!!

You truely love your chickens when they have names. I have all sex link hens. Theirs Brownie [my fav] she's a lover. Lefty, her comb lays over to the left a little. Elvis, her comb lays all the way over. Goldie and Blondie from their color. I have one hen that is very roo like, she's bigger than the rest and has a much bigger comb too. She is constantly complaining. I can pick her out of the crowd with my back turned. I aptly name her Bit*h!

A few months ago I aquired a roo from a very good person. She had named him Peaches and Cream. She thought he was a she till he got older then it became just Peaches. When I got him home my thought was to change his name to maybe Roody. I was bringing in wood to the house and I called his name. He stood right up and was listening. Then later he was in the coop and I called his name twice and he came out listening. So Peaches it is. I have to send pics soon to her youngest son because he misses him. I can understand why, he's a very good boy!
