I found this recently detached wing yesterday in my middle stall (dirt floor) late afternoon no body to be found. Large animals are also present there like horse and goats. The area has an existing fence and an electric fence outside to keep predators out of a 1 acre pasture. Could a bird of prey do this?

A number of predators will easily scale a fence, and if the electric hot wire isn't against a solid wall, all animals can simply jump over or between the wires. My guess is coyote or bobcat.

It is a pretty good fence it keeps bears out. The electric is strong 7 joules and attached to the outside existing fence at two heights. I have other animals in there too horse, goats, sheep & alpaca so I am thinking bird of prey at this time. I appreciate your input.

We had a neighbor lose a white bird to a fox.
(It was seen taking the bird)

Another neighbor saw the fox chewing the wing loose to more easily carry the bird.

I have red fox in my woods but not in the fenced in pasture and it took the whole bird last spring. I really doubt it could get over the fence it is about 5 feet tall and would get zapped with the electric but I will keep a look out. There is a split rail fence lined with farm fencing and then two strings of electric on the outside and extra strings where there are trees.

I have personally seen red fox clear my 6' privacy fence like it was nothing.

They are amazingly springy.

Its not secure.. fence will not keep anyone out evne with double rows of anything hot.. they can jump way higher and clear more than you think. and it can be holes in the bottom.. spaces on the bottom.. unless you have a roof that cant be gone thru. Nothing is secure.
