You can manually lift her. It could be the fact that its winter. They're a lot less likely to breed in winter. Can you extend the amount of light she gets for a week or so? You might find she'll lift then.

I've been having the same problem for a while. Manually lifting has been the only way I've been able to get my does to breed.

There are some other "tricks" that some people have found to work. Unfortunately, I haven't found any success with them.

Here's a good link:

Hmm, It been 18 degrees out and my rabbits are lifting just fine. Boy can see all his ladies but cant reach em and they get an extra hour of light at night while I do chores. My mix breed experimental rescue lifted like crazy and so did my youngest NZW. Will just have to wait and see what I get out of those two! And I have three litters under weaning age too.

A friend of mine has a SP Holland doe that just won't breed. We've tried everything and nothing will take. I recently obtained another sable point doe and am having the same problem. I left her in with my buck all day, took her out the next morning and still nothing. I tried the manual lift thing on both this SP and the other we were trying to get a litter from and nothing. I don't get it.

This was over the course the months too - not just winter. My friend's SP we were trying to breed during the summer and were never successful.

I never posted this, though it happened about 3 - 4 months ago, but my rabbit died.

I am not sure why... I think it was a heart attack because she lived outside in a dog run with a roof, and bottom, and the dog run is in the goat pen. (the goat pen is very big, and she was under a barn roof) Well, the goats had knocked something off the dog run and I have a feeling it was a loud noise, and scared her..

Oh, so sad. I'm so sorry. I helped a family get a rabbit for Christmas. I educated them on rabbits including that sudden frights can cause death.

I'm getting nervous & excited - which is silly, I know. We have 2 litters of pedigreed mini lops, a litter of satins & a litter of mini rex due tomorrow & Friday. Last month, we had our first litter of mini rex & lost all the babies. I'm hoping things go better this time. Hope I'm doing things right. *fingers crossed*
