Hey guys I purchased some rabbits yesterday and they looked really good, a bit underfed, but otherwise healthy. I was looking them over this morning and this is what I found on the doe

Its only her teats, and I've never seen anything like it.

It looks like it could be mastitis

Well, we got the buns outside this weekend and split them up. I am calmer now. I was getting too worried about a potential accidental litter. Now that they are not housed with each other, we are spending time making sure they are getting play time in their run area. So far they are taking turns. This is a work in progress. They seem quite happy (doing their crazy bunny run, kicking legs up) and content. I really never knew how much fun this adventure would be. A year ago I started with 3 chickens. Now added 2 bunnies. I am researching dwarf milking goats. That will have to wait until I move out of my HOA neighborhood. My neighbors just shake their head and laugh at me as it is. I tell them I'll be starting a petting zoo soon

. They sit and watch their kids play outside. Those days are behind me. Now I sit and watch my critters. Mine go into a cage at sun down

. Peace all.

These are some pics of the rabbit in my AG classroom. I believe he's a Holland Lop. He has no official name. The kids just call him whatever they want.

I totally relate. I have 5 chickens and 2 bunnies and I'm obcessed. I want more chickens but don't want to push my luck with the HOA. I want to move. The first I get will be another RIR and some heritage and a donkey.
