hey everyone,
i got my bunny two weekends ago! im abot 80% sure its a boy. im not the best at telling what it is!

So nice looking. What kind is he? I love the color.

Only problem with that identification, is that it is too big, and doesn't have a Rex coat . . . . otherwise, you're right on the money!

It could be a standard Rex. some times in poor breeding Rex's and mini Rex's don't have the breeds coat. sadly its true.

How is your little doe? About how old is she now? And is she at least half his size or weight?

I think you're confused. Rex is a recessive trait. If you breed any Rex-coated rabbit to another Rex-coated rabbit. all of the babies will have Rex coats, all of the time. You might get Rex coats from two mixed-breed non-Rex coated rabbits, but only if both parents are carrying the Rex trait. The Rex coat is the signature feature of the Rex breeds - without that coat, it ain't no Rex!

I'm not confused. My freind has 3 mini Rex rabbits purebred with papers and doesn't have the Rex coat. He has poor breeding in his line and he didn't get the Rex coat. Trust me I know what I'm talking about.

Shes around 20 weeks old now and catching up rapidly on size. I give her maybe a month more and she might be more than half I need to compare them tomorrow. I will try a post new pic here if not in album.

Yeah it loaded. She is in her new cage we found. The wooden ones they changed the design and are not as nicely made now and this is easier to clean and stay clean.
