I don't think I've posted on here since the thread first started! I'm new with rabbits and have already had several. We had horrible luck over the summer, lost 2, then I bought 2 satins from a lady at the fair and I think they must have contracted something there because although they looked very healthy when I got them, they slowly deteriorated in condition and both passed away after less than a month. I still have my palomino, but we have since discovered he is a buck instead of a doe! No matter, he is my favorite one, very sweet and always comes up to the cage door so you will pet him

I have 3 does I purchased about a month ago, and as of today all of them have been bred to Bud, my Palomino. Big Momma is a NZ White, Sweet Pea is a black and white Satin/Cali cross, and Gamble is a NZ red. I'll post pics tomorrow! Everyone has cute bunnies!
I had the same thing happen to one of my rabbits. I was offered a himilayan netherland dwarf buck with 9 legs (awards). I was a bit suspicious although optimistic when I heard he didn't want to breed. A couple weeks later, I had put him out in his run. Everything was shaded, and he had nice fluffy grass to romp and play in. When I went out to check on him, I found him dead. His eyes were blue instead of red and he was in the laying down position. I was heartbroken. But, the good news is that the breeder I got him from had a successful breeding and kindling with one of their does that he bred. Now, he has 3 beautiful babies that will have a nice life at Treble Maker Rabbitry. :)

I had the most beautiful rabbit, he was some lop, but he was white with light gray spots and dark gray ears. Unfortunately he was huge and I got him when he was 7, I had him for about 7months, but he died of old age. He was the sweetest rabbit too. His name was Doc.

AWWWWWW!!!!!! What are they about 3/4wks old? Just want to cuddle them all up

I think they were 2 weeks in that picture.

I love putting my hand on the doe's bellies a couple days before the due date, I can always feel the babies.
I can usually see her fur being kicked while she lays on her side.

So Sunflower (Netherland Dwarf) went a couple days early & had 2 lil nuggets this morning @ 8:50AM

& here are Oreo's little ones, taken today @ 3.5wks old

Are the new babies okay? They have very small ears.
Oreo's babies are very cute. That one looks like a sable point?
My sable point is 3 weeks old as of last night. Thinking I might have to keep her. Shes too cute.

Oh yes they are fine. Small ears run in the family :) . Yes she's a sable point, looks just like her father Bradly :) I look at their photos next to eachother & just smile because Oreo tends to have 1 kit each time that looks almost exactly like her & finally to have one that looks like the father as well!

This litter have have now is from my doe, a sable point, and my buck, a tortoise.
There are two kits in the litter and the girl is a sable point and the boy is a tortoise.

Oh my God! Those ND kits are ADORABLE!
In Feburary, I will get one more rabbit- my last rabbit- and breed it to one if mine. I am still not sure if I should get a Polish doe (broken chocolate), or an American Fuzzy Lop buck (not sure what color yet). If I get a Polish, I have a black buck for her, but I've heard Polish are hard to breed, and they don't have many babies. If I get an AFL, I have a Broken Sable Point doe to breed to him. What should I choose?
