Hi there,
I’m new here. My kids and I have hatched out some chicks and they are now almost 6 weeks old. I’m hoping someone can help us with sexing our chicks. We love them all but will are not allowed roosters where we are.
The parents are a combination of Araucana, Silkie and Frizzle. We are in New Zealand so I know these breeds are different in different countries.I also believe we have 3 sizzles (Silkie/Frizzle cross).

#1 = cockerel, comb awfully red
#3 = possible cockerel, I think I see saddle feathering starting
#5 = cockerel due to the width of the comb
#6 = cockerel due to the width of the comb

They are really CUTE ... Repost pictures again in 2wks, the Silkie & Fizzle in them makes it harder to read their feathering :fl

Ok I’ll repost in a couple of weeks. #5 is my favourite so really hoping it’s a pullet. Another pic of it.

 My "favorites" always ended up cockerels :hit Now that I can see the comb, leaning more to cockerel :hugs :fl and hoping I'm wrong:fl
Oh shame. I can’t believe how many Cockerals we have! We have given 2 away already that look very much like cockerels and one had even started a squeaky crow! This one #5 has a completely flat comb but is it the width that gives it away? I know the height and redness do also but didn’t know about the width.
