what should i do

I don't know. I think it depends on the breed. I've only hatched duck eggs so far (although I've got a pipped chicken egg right now), and the membrane is white, but turns brownish when it starts to dry out. It is normal for the membrane immediately around the pip/zip to dry out a bit. You just don't want the inner membrane to dry out. I guess some membranes of some eggs might be clear, but I don't know.
