Odd thing here, just to give you guys a heads-up: ordered some fabric from Joann online, who only ships FedEx, not to mention they take days to input the order before shipping. First expected delivery date on the FedEx tracking was the 18th, then they changed it to the 20th. Today is the 21st and no FedEx truck and the site no longer has any expected delivery date listed. Then, awhile ago, we call FedEx and they tell us it's a two part delivery, that my local P.O. will be delivering it. According to the FedEx site, my package left Atlanta
four days ago (two hours from me) and still isn't at my P.O. Why in the blue blazes don't they just send things Priority Mail in the first place?
At Thousandsofbolts, they give you a choice of mailing systems and USPS is one of them. My package was here in two days, not the two weeks this is taking. Yeah, great sale, free shipping, but heck, I am in the middle of a project for which I can use those fabrics.
I only ordered from JoAnn because of the terrific sale, but I'd rather pay shipping and get my fabric quickly, especially in the middle of a project. Sheesh, talk about inefficient! The
Pony Express would have been faster! Maybe Tom Hanks has my fabric on the island and is making a loin cloth.
You guys ever hear of the hand-off from FedEx to the P.O.? I never have. I did call JoAnn and tell them that their shipping system was crappy and that I wouldn't be ordering anything else from them, not till they got a better one. It would be different if they had just said, "Hey, customers, your package may take up to two solid weeks to arrive and your P.O. will be the one delivering".
