I'll probably use those on my adults once I know for sure what size fits best.
How do I go about knowing what size they are? Someone gave them to me.

Quote: Yes, that is what I am shooting for. I use white numbered and yellow numbered on a lot of my bantam Cochin. They fit size 9 but have feathered legs so it is a bit larger than their legs. Surely a 12 would not fit mature peas? I was thinking a 14 or 18.
I notice 2 year old peas have much slimmer legs than say a 9 year old pea. Maybe have to change them as a 3 year old?

Measure the inside diameter with a ruler that has 1/16" increments.
I just had a thought... If you can't figure out what size to buy, find the type of leg-band that you want to use, find out who makes it, call the manufacturer and/or the distributor and ask them for a couple of sample pieces in a few different sizes. We have do this all of the time for electronic components, nuts, bolts, facet pieces, etc.
