My hubby makes the greatest rice and now makes double because it is the absolute favorite treat of our chickens. When they see that is what is in the treat bucket they go nuts!
Sadly no rice today but they had frozen watermelon (yummmmmmm), some romaine lettuce (boring) and fresh pea pods (too much effort for my spoiled birds unless I hold them or the dog starts to eat them (peas not chickens) in which case the feeding frenzy begins).

What does he do special to his rice? I think I'm going to start making rice or spaghetti (I usually use the high protein kind, like Barilla) and keep in the fridge for the week.
Today mine got a couple leftover pancakes from breakfast.

Yesterday I made the mistake of eating a bowl of vanilla ice cream in front of my girls. Oh the horrer! There was beaks and ice cream everywhere. They love it!

He uses a mixture of jasmine (not so nutritious) and wild rice (more nutritious) with chopped mushrooms and parsley...it is really nummy for us people and the chickens love the leftovers. Now that I have discovered BOSS thanks to this post we mixed a handful in the rice treat today and they went nuts.
I have not tried spaghetti as I have been avoiding giving them processed carbs but might try them with a whole grain noodle as I am sure they will love that too. Looks like we are going to start eating even healthier in this houe so there are healthier left over for the chickens!!!!
Yesterday they got grapes and plain yogurt for the first time. They were highly suspicious of the whole thing, but eventually decided it was delicious. Today they'll get some BOSS, cherry tomatoes and more grapes.
