What Special Treat or Yummy Did Your Flock Get Today?

Not today, but yesterday..watermelon..
Today and everyday, I pick grass and their fav weed..not sure what it is?
Also, they love the ants that are in their coop area, and one found the moth that got stuck in the water.
I have a silly question...what is BOSS?

chickens and ducks got an additional 12 feet built on their yard, and got a frozen block of corn, peas, grapes, and cherries. tomorrow corn for the chickens and maybe some free range time

My ducks love munching on grape leaves. The poor vine is bald on the bottom on their side of the pen. Fortunately there is plenty growing out of reach and they don't like the grapes

Fried rice. I rinsed it off first to remove the high sodium Soy Sauce first. But they loved it.

love the frozen vegi block idea. Just gave my girls slightly unthawed peas last night because their so hot. They got watermelon the day before. It got real hot and humid here in NC. They also get meal worms which I started growing myself to decrease that cost. They can eat worms. I never thought I would be one to have a worm farm in my garage that includes very fast beetles running about.

Tonight it is yogert with banana mushed in. Keep the ideas coming.

OUR GIRLS get their layer ration, -self feed. when we let them out then they could get anything, pulled pork, cabbage, chocholate cake.

Egg production is probably down, but I don't care., I just want to get rid of the crap in my refrig.
We give the eggs away, anyway. We still get 8 a day.


9 hens, one dog and one cat. (both very well behaved)
