What stage of the addiction are you on?

Skip/doc_gonzo and I have proudly made it to step 12.

Step 13 is right around the corner though as we have an empty 120 gallon aquarium sitting in the kitchen that would make a nice brooder right now.

I'd asked about using it for chicks before and he didn't say NO...so that means YES...right???

Hatch #3 is due this weekend and I still have two, 7 week old chicks in the regular brooder who need to be moved outside but no space for them due to extra roos that a neighbor was going to proccess for us...3 weeks ago...and we're still waiting...

I'm only a stage 3 addict

And I didn't consult my hubby before moving from step 2 to step 3  I think he'll survive... I should print off 4-12 to show him how lucky he is....

I have 3 different brooders going right now... one on the dining room table (we never use it) with day-olds, two in the garage - 2 week olds and 5 week olds. DH, who is on stage 4, is it?, is getting ducklings with son this weekend, so add one more to the mix. That doesn't count the 17 meat birds in the "nursery" outside, or the 19 adults in the henhouse...

Oh, and next weekend, more chicks and turkeys!!!
I think we're head-under-water and breathing through a straw!!!

Slipped on the chicken poo right over stage 4.
Ducks are cute, but not for me at this time.

Now, I'm way past stage 13. I need a sign on the door to the house:
"Close door quickly...to keep chickens out"

And one in the yard:
"Keep your car doors shut...my chickens love to go for drives"
