I have tried to find info on breast blisters. The bedding is deep, dry and clean.
Is there anything I can do for it? I am afraid that if something happens to her in that area her guts will spill out. That is how thin the skin is. Like a the smallest thing would make it rip.
That just looks awful!
I have a baby chick going through something similiar, but his is mass is actually on his chest. I hope your bird gets better soon.
Having processed birds, I can tell you that there is no place on a chicken where their skin can break that would make their guts fall out. In fact, it is quite a chore to get to their guts. Even if she no muscle on her, her guts would still not fall out. You're probably seeing veins.

I too have processed chickens. That is why I said you can see her intestines. It is quite the amazing protrusion. Paper thin. You can literally see her insides. The folds in the bowel and everything.
I am starting to think it is a birth defect of some kind. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. It is just not normal, yet totally amazing at the same time.
If that is truly the intestines, I'd cull that chicken. Otherwise, if you're ok with it, and it is NOT a hen, then let it live it's life. I don't think it's something you can treat, and most likely a birth defect. As stated, the intestines should NOT be near the surface at all. If that is a hen, and it tries to lay, I have a feeling it will die.
