Just my uneducated opinion but I believe that you cannot sex the silver one based on its red feathers. I believe that is your hen.

From what I know, that silver one could be either male or female. Silver buttons can have a bib in both sexes. I'd say that is probably your female, given that one of them is laying eggs, and the non-silver one pretty definitively doesn't look female.

but to my understanding pink and red are male colors look it up, it sounds like a red breasted silver is a dilute color of red breasted... Therefore red breasted and silver females have bibs (I have owned both color males and females) and red breasted and red breasted silvers have a bib, a darker colored head, lavender or Blu body, and red or pink chest and vent colors.

Pink and red are usually but not always male colors. Button quail sexual dimorphism, especially in a lot of the developed (non-wild-colored) ones, isn't 100% clean.

In person the silver has pinkish\red chest feathers, but the lighting was very white resulting in faded color.

The pink/red color shows up, but isn't a guarantee on silvers.

Split them up, see which one lays eggs. If the silver is the one laying eggs, it's just a female that looks like a male. If the non-silver is laying eggs, it might be more interesting.

a couple other things, he does they both do the male crowing and throat puffing, and to my experience females are larger than males, whereas the silver is slightly smaller than the red breasted.
