Are you supposed to be consistent? I'm all over the place with what time I tuck them in for the night, but they are out roaming around by 7 a.m. pretty regularly.

Same here!they go in just before sundown, and i let them out whenever i wake up![]()
sunrise they get let out, and put them in about an hour before sunset. predators start to come out around that time so it’s safer to bring them in earlier.Good morning!
Just curious, for those of you who do nightly lockup for your ducks, what time do they get locked up at night and what time do you let them out for the day?
A new duck momma here. I was just wondering the same thing a few days ago. I’ve been giving my little guys outside time since they’re getting a bit bigger, but I typically bring them inside just before sunset and they’re out around 8-9 in the morning (while my kids are home because of this virus). Once we get our routine back in place and my kids get back to school, I’m hoping to let them out and do all the morning cleaning/feeding once I get the tiny humans where they need to go.
