What time of day do your Hens Lay?

Mine lay all throughout the day.
As far as free Ranging goes I tried it for a while and finding the eggs was a downfall for me. I kept finding less and less. I had to follow one hen that was cackling to find her nest. Once I did I found 12 eggs under a piece of plywood slanted against my garage.

Ours lay at all different times of the day.. Anywhere from 5 in the morning til 5 at night.. We do have two that you can set your watch by & they lay at 11 am & 5 pm... Even if they decide not to lay an egg you can be sure they will go in the coop at those times...

Ours seem to lay on slightly different cycles, anywhere from 24-30 hours apart for each hen. We average 7 eggs per day for 8 hens, but the egg 'arrival' spreads out over time, comes together, then spreads out again.

Mine lay in the mid morning time, let us (get it? Lettuce) see:

Banties: 7:00AM all in box
Big Ones: 9:00AM to 2:00PM or so and 1 hen goes at 4PM.

They are the crazy ones, not I.

My one hen lays around 2pm - 4 pm :/

Sometimes I have to put her in the coop or else she cant find the nesting box lol

mine are quiet regular,
ruby lays at 5.30 am
saphire at about 8.30 to 9.00 am
wilma has just started again she used to lay at 2.00pm but i think she is starting to lay during the day !

Mine lay Late afternoon. Usually between none and 3:00 pm

most lay in the mornings but there is always a few eggs in the evening. My ees are bad about hidding their eggs if they get a chance.

Usually my RIR lays about 10amish, and my BR 12am!

I have only two laying. 1 silkie and 1 ba. The ba lays around 10-11. The silkie lays late afternoon. Tho today the silkie layed closer to 12. I have 2a banty americans that aren't laying and 2 game hens that aren't laying. Don't know if im doing sum wring or what. They have the same diet as the 2 that are laying g.
