I received eggs yesterday afternoon in the mail and have two more batches that I thought would be here today. I was going to set them all at the same time. I am assuming the other two sets of eggs will be here tomorrow, since they didn't make it here today. Should I wait to put the ones I received yesterday afternoon in the incubator or would you put them in now and put the other eggs in tomorrow. I didn't really expect the first set of eggs so quickly, especially since they were coming from further away. Oh, the first set is 8 eggs the next two sets are 28 and 6, so I really want to make sure the set of 28 have the best chance as well. I was planning on letting them sit for at least 12 hours, but I am re-thinking that now.

Am I being paranoid? Should I just chill out and wait till tomorrow and set them all together after letting the new ones sit for a few hours? What would you guys do?

I would wait. I put eggs in without thinking about lockdown time...and had them staggered almost a day apart for lockdown, not easy when you're not supposed to open the hatcher! This next batch will be hatched at the same time.

Best of luck!

I appreciate the response! I have kind of made up my mind to wait and set all together buy I needed someone else to agree

I would wait and put them in a cool place while the ones you have are settling. Whatever you recieve tomorrow give them 12 hours-I would deff.set tomorrow even if some didnt show:)

So, should I just let them all rest till Sunday morning? If the next two batches come in tomorrow

then they should rest a min of 12 hours (is that correct?).

I have the first batch sitting in the basement (62 degrees) in an egg cartoon and have tilted them twice today...

I'm typically laid back, I don't know why this is stressing me out! I hatched several batches of mailed eggs last year, but they all came within a day of each other so I never worried about it.

I know what you mean. I put in 10 Maran eggs and 8 Duck eggs yesterday, my hands were shaking. But I just tossed (not literally) them in and walked away, lol. But I did come back often to check temps, and still do!
Happy hatching!
