When I read the title to your post, my first thought for a response was you should cry. Im so sorry to hear of your loss and I hope you determine it is not a contagion that killed her.

Thank you to everyone on this thread. One of my hens was killed by a Bald Eagle this morning, and I didn't know what to do with her until I found this thread. I built a nice cedar alter and burned her this morning. Very sad day for us.
