Our 3-month-old Pekin duck, Vinyl, spends her days roaming the yard with her sister Latex and the other ducks & geese. When we put her to bed in the duck house last night, we noticed she was limping. Although we examined both feet & legs carefully, we noticed nothing unusual that might be the cause. No swellings or sores, all joints moved easily. This morning when I let them out I saw that Vinyl was limping even more severely.
She still seems to be in good spirits, hobbling around after her sister, smooth feathers, bright eyes, interested in the world around her. But the limp is pronounced.
What could it be? What signs do I look for? How should I treat her?
Thank you for your help!
Please excuse me for also posting about this in the duck section. These are my son's special pet ducks & he's very concerned.
