We were surprised to find a female Blue Swedish broody earlier this year, and she gave birth to twins, Jack and Jill.

We separated the mother from the two other ducks, a female and the head male. We've kept them separated all summer and fall.

When you mix both groups together, our head male incessantly hunts after his son, and when he gets him, pulls out feathers and tugs hard at him, including at the neck.

What should we do here?

They're split up. But it's been that way for a long time. We can't keep them apart all the time as winter comes.

WE've got a total of four ducks. One welsh harlequin duck, two blue swedish drakes and two blue swedish ducks. The father wants to kill his son. I'm thinking it makes sense to find a new home for the welsh harlequin and the young blue swedish drake.
