What to do with excess chicks?

I would wait to see if hatches.

Then check to see if all chicks are healthy. If one is obviously unhealthy, cull it.

Then, if you have 6 healthy chicks, ask if your friends would like all six.

If they say no, then try to sell it, or raise it yourself, or cull it. (I think culling a healthy chick is probably not the best answer. I am only mentioning it in case you get into a real bind, if you cannot raise it yourself and cannot find anyone else to raise it either.)

You could also post on here if you have the lone chick and can’t find a buyer. I’m sure someone would take it rather than have you cull.

Although it isn't ideal to raise or sell a lone chick, that is better than culling it.
Hopefully one of your buyers will take 6! And you never know how many eggs are going to hatch in the first place.

For silkies I charge $1.50 per chick.

Quite a bit for a mix.

Rare/Critically Endangered breeds like Malay, I'd charge about $30 - $35 per chick.

I sell my chicks at day old for $9 each they are purebreds

I expect 5 or 6 to hatch, I will be giving 5 to friends as 5 is how many they want but the 6th chick idk but then again it may never hatch

So what happens if only 3 hatch???
