What to do with old eggs??

I just read the Mother Earth article. Coating eggs in lard - wow - I'm not sure I could hang onto those slippery suckers long enough to crack them! But I guess every egg you ate would taste like bacon and eggs...which is not a bad thing if you are making cornbread but not so hot for say...well...actually, I can't think of anything that isn't enhanced by a little bacon flavor!!

i collect eggs everyday and place them in the refridgerator. I swear the eggs i eat are more than 2 weeks old and i've only once opened a bad egg. It wasn't even rotten yet- the whites were a bit "off" but it didnt stink. Just because it was questionable I chucked it.
When I find cracked eggs in the nest, or soft shelled eggs, I bury them in the garden. My plants seem to love it.
When I have an abundance of eggs (like around this time of year) I cook french toast every Sat and Sun. I also cook 6+ eggs at a time to feed to the dog and chickens.

My neighbors wife was sick and he had to be at the hospital with her. He had an abundance of eggs he gave me to try to get rid of for him. I had about 4 dozen left that have been setting in my fridge. I floated them and ended up with about 1 1/2 - 2 dozen that floated. What can I do with these eggs? Anything?....cook and feed them to my dogs or back to my birds, throw them away? I would hate for them to go to waste if there is something I can do with them.
I would break them and get the shells in as little pieces as I can and just add them to the compost pile... At least that's what I do with mine....

I have an awful time making hard boiled eggs with fresh eggs...even eggs that are 2 weeks old, SOOOOOO, I let them sit in the fridge 2 MONTHS, and they FINALLY were easy to peel when I turned them into hard boiled eggs. None of them smelled bad. Maybe eggs can last a year in the fridge! LOL I did notice, though, that the whites of the ones I fried that were 2 months old, were runny. That was it.
