SOMETHING IS WRONG THERE!!!! Craig's List does NOT ask for phone verification, unless it's changed since yesterday!!! You are most likely getiing a bogus email, trying to get you to give info, or someone is trying to "redirect" your info. Are you listing under a city? If you are listing from a small town, you need to list from the nearest city and put you location in the title bar when you list.
PM me if you keep having trouble. I have listed there for years and you should not be getting a message like that. Craig's List is famous for scams.
The deal with the phone authentication is this. I went to post my ad. It said that I needed to be signed in to post an ad in farm and garden. So I signed in. Then the craigslist site itself said I needed to do a phone authentication (or some such word). I finally figured out how to get it to work and put in my number, got a call with a code, entered the code and all is well. My ad is now posted. I asked for $10 at first, then felt bad since I got them free (well kinda. I did pay $12 over and above my other chicks for "box" fees) lol. So I changed it to free. Now lets just see if someone responds.
