What to do??

No, there is no buyer's remorse. I just didn't want to deal with more than one hatch. I purchased based on the expected arrival/shipping date. Hers were my first purchase and have yet to arrive. I had eggs arrive from all over the country last week, midwest included. These were to come from TX. I made assumptions that things would arrive as indicated. My fault.

This is the first time I've had problems with getting eggs on time.

I have my dairy goats beginning their kidding right after the eggs are supposed to hatch. Too much going on to extend the hatch. Not her problem. I certainly wouldn't buy from her again. So do I give her a positive rating??? I don't think this experience ranks a positive rating. Perhaps not a negative one, as most of you seem to feel that she doesn't warrant that. So a neutral rating? Would you want to know my experience if you were buying eggs from her?

Well, I guess I could always do an omlet?? Better make it a souffle...sounds more expensive! LOL

Apparently a neutral rating is as good as a negative. You are not happy with the purchase and have not received it, and it has been longer than expected so you are entitled to your feelings about the transaction. So go ahead and rate the transaction as a negative.

Oh no they are not! I speak from experience. I received eggs in the mail. Hatch was not what I ordered. Filed a claim and was told that if a package was received that was all they can do. I could have been sent a box of rocks for all they cared.

Okay my chicken friends....I'm going to let go of this. There is so much weather related crap in this that it just wasn't avoidable. I won't be leaving any feedback as opposed to leaving sonething that may or may not be accurate. I have no way of knowing what the seller was facing. The purchase I made was a time sensitive one. I needed to have hatching done by the last week in February. I have 14 goats due to kid the following week and just didn't plan for chicks at the same time. UGH. Whether I incubate these eggs or not just hasn't been decided.

Pretty sure I won't be buying eggs from the midwest again. Too many variables. Happy hatching all!

I wish you lived closer, I have incubators running all of the time this time of year and I'd surely hatch for you.
I'm really sorry about all of the trouble you've had.

I just have to laugh now. These eggs just weren't meant to get to me.. ...no way, no how. FedEx just delivered them....8 of the 14 broken. Packaging was poor. It looked like she tried, but no bubblewrap. Just an egg carton with some paper towels laid over the eggs. Sigh... The eggshell color was great!! Nice Maran brown. Those eggs were doomed before FedEx got them. Oh, well, done is done!

Happy hatching everyone!~

I got marans, and plenty of extra eggs. Let me know when you are ready to hatch, and I will send you some eggs if you pay shipping. They are not show quality, there are two roos, one is copper blue, the other black. They lay good eggs though, big and dark. Just PM me a link to this post when you are ready, as I sometimes forget.

Thanks for that very generous offer, on the spot. If I don't get any of the birds I'm incubating to hatch I will take you up on that. My seller has offered to replace the eggs, but right now just doesn't work for me. LOL---not sure I want to try another go at this point! Since she and Ihave worked out the conversation part of our relationship I feel much more kindly inclined. But you know the old adage....don't count your chickens before they hatch?? I think it seriously applies to me in this transaction!!
