What to do?

I can't think of the name of the author but the book is called "the gift of fear" the gift of fear is our instinct and you have to listen to it. These people have got to have neighbors or freinds that could give them a ride. Also, you should not have people come to your house, you should meet them at the store or Post Ofice. Maybe I'm paranoid but I wouldn't want strangers knowing to much about me.

I would gently apologize and tell him that it is your strict policy that you do not deliver. However, you wouldn't mind meeting them halfway, right off the expressway at a convenience store during the day. And park in the front by lots of people. If you don't want to deliver period, then you need to gently tell him "I'm sorry, I just cannot deliver, if you want the bird you must come pick it up. And I never let anyone come to my house! I meet them about a mile from my house at a convenience store. It's much safer.

Yeah, we usually don't just let any person off the street come to our house. Anybody who comes to pick up animals I have usually spoken to on the phone or I have met before. I have never had a problem, but like I mentioned, others are always home and outside with me. However, I think only a few times people have come to my house who I haven't met before, so it's never been an issue. The problem with this guy is that I'm not desparate to find my pigeon a home and so I will not go out on a limb to sell him! I can wait until county fair or some other show, where I will get even more money for him!

I don't want to meet OR deliver, especially if I am not getting paid for my time or gas. If I was adopting the bird out, I may consider traveling to deliver, but not when I am selling.

Havne't heard back from him yet. I'm considering just not answering his e-mails!

My BF and I have dealt with many different people off of craigslist. Some have been really great, others have not. I always trust my instincts when it comes to people, and if he is giving you a bad vibe, trust it!

Good Luck!!!

I trust my insticts also, plus try to be careful about strangers, regardless.

I would end it, most definitely, and not have them over, even if they suddenly came up with a ride.
