Ohhhhhh..... you have me interested now! Ours does too. We pay a minimum of $53 even if we use 0 gallons of water and don't put any trash out. And in the area that I live in, the other towns pay on average $20 for that same service. Filling the duck pull up regularly can get expensive.
I'll post pics when we get it all set up with the down spouts. I'm hoping it will save me $$ and allow me to clean their pool more often.
I knew was did. . that's part of what give me the ideaI have gutters on my chicken pens, which are right next to the duck run, so i routed the drainage directly from the gutters into the duck pool.
I pay for water based on sewer too. What a racket! Now i only use the house water for hosing out the muck when i drain it, then let the rain fill it back up. I try to drain it when i know a big rain is coming.
