Can you imagine the stench :sick

Ohhhhhh..... you have me interested now! Ours does too. We pay a minimum of $53 even if we use 0 gallons of water and don't put any trash out. And in the area that I live in, the other towns pay on average $20 for that same service. Filling the duck pull up regularly can get expensive.

I have gutters on my chicken pens, which are right next to the duck run, so i routed the drainage directly from the gutters into the duck pool.

I'll post pics when we get it all set up with the down spouts. I'm hoping it will save me $$ and allow me to clean their pool more often.

I pay for water based on sewer too. What a racket! Now i only use the house water for hosing out the muck when i drain it, then let the rain fill it back up. I try to drain it when i know a big rain is coming.

I knew was did. . that's part of what give me the idea :thumbsup
I thought about routing it straight into the pool. . but our garden area is back there on that side of the property too and it's always a pain to reach with the hose. So this way we can use the rain water on our garden too :clap
