What To Look For in EEs

I just got 6 EEs from our tack store last week. One is about 3 weeks old, the other 5 are about 2 weeks old. Still way too young to determine gender. What should I be looking for as they mature to determine gender as they mature? And at what age? I know that, as mutts, there probably isn't one breed-specific thing to look for. I got 3 dark brown/black with rust and 3 taupe, some with short tails some with long, just to try and cover my bases. None have especially green legs/feet. They look more like slate tile - dark gray with rust and greenish mixed in.

I have EE also and at four weeks a couple of the combs are already much redder while the others are still yellow.

Thanks for that. I have been keeping a close eye on them. So far, no pinker or redder combs on any. We'll see what the next few weeks reveal!
