Everything I read suggests to candle before setting your eggs. What is it I’m looking for when candling that early?

Good reply. I was thinking OP was looking for fertilized eggs by candling before setting. (I have seen such questions in the past.)You're looking for cracks in the shell, calcifications, porous shells, and checking aircell size and placement. Early candling helps screen for which eggs are the best ones to set.
