What to paint coop?

I think I will leave the siding as is, and just paint the trim! Maybe a combination of blue like the roof, and that light, almost pinkish purple in the sample below.
Or maybe that purple with the darker blue on the left (i.e, purple door, dark blue trim, blue roof).

All those purple swatches are nice :). Here's my coop, we went with a dusty violet type color. The builder sprayed on the color, if I'd done it myself I was planning on doing a blue to purple gradient:

I suppose you could still add a blue gradient?

Oh, I could... but too lazy at this point. Also it ended up much taller than I anticipated, so the prospect of perching on a ladder (with a severe fear of heights) with buckets of paint while chickens roost on the rungs and stop me from getting down isn't very appealing to me.

I like that combo!
Leaving the siding 'natural' will be a nice contrast...you'll seal it with something clear?

Looks like there are props attached to windows, can you open them partially?

The sides are treated and meant for the outdoors so no need to seal :)

Yes, the windows can be propped open. I may need to figure out a way to open them more widely, as the propping "sticks" are pretty short...

The beauty of paint is once you paint something- if you don't like it you can paint it AGAIN! :) So pick your favorites and paint away.

Personally I would do 3 colors, a dark trim color and then 2 or 3 shades ligher for the bottom panels and then 1 or 2 shades lighter than that for the top panels.

An alternative look is the same thing but use white paint for the trim for a more traditional color combo that will pop (the dark trim is more muted).

Regardless of what you do- we need update pictures!

You are so right!! I should just pick and go for it and not worry about it

I think I'll do the dark blue trim, light purple around the windows and door, leave the sides (walls) as is.
Should be nice!

I'll post updated pictures for sure :)
