I've got 4 RIR hens who have been treaded by my huge BO roo and have the bare backs to show for it. I've separated them but should have done it earlier I know. What can I put on their bare backs if anything? They're not bleeding but their skin is red and dry and uncomfortable. And with winter coming on I'm concerned about the cold, also. They've already molted about a month ago. Will new feathers grow in soon or will it be their next molt? I sure hope not.

You can try putting hen saddles on them OR seperate them from the roo!
  4. Trim the rooster's spurs, nails & beak tip. Then get them all hen saddles with wing protectors. You can buy them off here--I have quite a few now and I love them!
