I've got 4 RIR hens who have been treaded by my huge BO roo and have the bare backs to show for it. I've separated them but should have done it earlier I know. What can I put on their bare backs if anything? They're not bleeding but their skin is red and dry and uncomfortable. And with winter coming on I'm concerned about the cold, also. They've already molted about a month ago. Will new feathers grow in soon or will it be their next molt? I sure hope not.
