okay so one of my hens has been acting a bid weird lately.
i let them free range ( while i can safely watch them)
however one chicken likes to plop down as if shes dying. but i go over to her and she gets up and runs.
it doesnt appear that shes in pain or hurt.
is she just resting? do they just do that. shes the only hen that does that, although not with the complete 24 hours aday maybe the others do it too.
does this mean that they want to start laying eggs?
they were born june 1st, so i thought they wouldnt be ready yet. this is our first time raising chickens, all new to us, and of course not sure what to expect.
the weather has been comfortable here, so i dont know.
i have seen plenty of feathers about everywhere, so maybe theres molting going on.
any feed back is much appriciated.
