Ah, you poor sweet innocent...
My ducks eat everything from maggots (in cow poop. Nice) to algae to insects, and I eat the ducks. Opossums are probably cleaner, once you think about it...
I eat venison, pork, beef, fish and chicken....just not my own!!
I have even eaten frog legs....but possum? I’ll pass!

Hmmmm.......was out checking for tracks the other day after a fresh fallen snow and was not amused to find what looks to be mink tracks. Came in from the east, up a ditch with some trees around it......then made a sashay up to the lagoon, then returned from whence it came. Classic side by side tracks and too small and close together to be a river otter, which we have plenty of. Neighbor down the road trapped an otter this winter.

I am less than a mile from a creek large enough to mark the county line, and that has large sections of national forest up and down it. We have mink in the state, but didn't realize they were in the neighborhood. He can't get in the house, but will still bear watching. May put up a game camera by the lagoon to see what else is lurking about down there.
