my rooster eats the leaves........and i have 5 acres of leaves i still have to rake up

the hens just play in them and dont try to make a nest with them they just make casels as we can call them. (they make tunnels in the piles)

Cool, I'll have to try. Plus it would sop up some
moisture from the 2 inches of rain we just got.
Oh, mine got leftover ribs, potatoes and greens!

Mine have a boring life they get the same treats everyday, scratch in the morn to warm them up and mealworms w/w bread and grapes in the afternoon.

My son went to Petsmart and bought our chickens a bag of live crickets. Yippy!! Something good to chase and eat!! They also got a handful of pond fish food pellets. They REALLY love that. (So does our dog!)

Mine get leftover pancakes at breakfast every weekrnd , today they got a day out and went for the acorns that were broken in the driveway . ,,,, got to learn to be more like a chicken , even the smallest things seem to make them happy
