What treat did your chickies get today?

Onions smothered in beer and some raw onion chucks i dropped on the ground. Only 1 of my Orpingtons ate the raw onion.

watch it with the beer. Mine LOVE beer too. BUT they can not burp or pass gas and the carbonation will build up in their system.

Half rotten pears/peaches, all the mealworms from my farm because they ended up drowning when we had a bad storm last night, and sub rolls.

I boiled up some porridge oats with sugar and black currants in water to make a porridge type mixture that is bright purple in colour and is very good for them.
I also gave them some plain black currants straight off the bush

My chicks got mealworms and the hens all got some juicy tomatoes. Treats have proven the best way by far to get them calmer. Even though now when they see me they pace the fence line in wait.
