What treat did your chickies get today?

Couple of days late to post this, but I fixed my 4 chickens a plate of thanksgiving meal: some sweet potatoes, corn, stuffing, a bit of turkey, green-bean casserole... they ate it all up.

Ours kind of had a thanksgiving too. They got brie rind, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pasta, grapes, rolls, and some cantaloupe rind. they loved it all

Some leftover cream cheese mixture that I used to stuff jalapenos with (no jalapenos for them though!). They LOVED it! Tomatoes and an apple too. My lovely rooster let all the ladies eat their fill before he even tasted anything! So cute.

I heard that giving chickens a capsicum peppers diet will make the yoke red.

Usually once a week my ladies get a salad. Today's was good because I had some leftover from Thanksgiving day..they love the salads. Today's was a mix of veggie salad and the fruit I cut up and added to it..... they love to see me coming with that bowl!

While I was at my parents I just had everyone put their food that they didn't eat into a large zip lock Baggie. I brought it home and this morning they got a mish mash of all the Thanksgiving left overs. I have enough for a few days.

Just a thought, maybe a coincident. The day I fed the flock leftovers, my best layer missed a day as well as our newest that had just starting to lay every day...
