They got the rest of a bag of shredded iceberg lettuce that was starting to brown--not the best, I know, but they had fun with it. They also got sesame seeds.

Most kitchen scraps go to the chickens. Especially meat fat. The bones go into the wood stove, hoping that there will still be some good nutrient for the garden in the bone char.
