Is this safe? Not calling you neglectful, I'm new to chicken raising. I ferment my own kombucha so I am CONSTANTLY throwing away my extra scobys. Is there any health benefit to this? Its technically a mushroom, right?

I have no idea. I rarely have an extra scoby...that my dogs don't eat. Guess it's full of probiotics.
