What treat did your chickies get today?

My girl have been getting warm oatmeal every morning, it's been soooo cold here. They love it.

Breakfast: Mashed hard boiled eggs with minced fresh garlic, chopped spinach and chopped hot dog.
Mid-day treat will be a mix of sunflower, flax, wheat and barley seeds.

And some mixed veggies.

They got yoghurt with bananas earlier today and just got done devouring some leftover quiche.

Left over steak, and strawberry applesauce. I have been giving them oatmeal too because of the cold.

Gave my girls some Goldfish crackers that my son didn't eat in his lunch, today. They LOVED them!

Cantaloupe innards ,smoked rabbit and a biscuit .

Gave the ladies some crushed egg shell, grated cabage, and some zuccini noodles.

I grew these yard long cucumbers. Mostly as a novelty. I'm not crazy about the taste, kind of like a melon that didn't get sweet. The chickens love them. I'm this heat I freeze them then cut them into "boats". They eat it like candy.

Mine love all things cucumber, even the bitter ones, they can't get enough of them, but won't touch a squash or pumpkin.

The bone from last nights steak! They were fighting each other off for it! I had to give it to them because they were stealing the dogs bone! He would growl and snap but those ballsy hens just kept coming for it. Poor pooch didn't know what to do. He knows he's not supposed to snap at them but gee wiz! They were trying to steal his marrow bone!
