What treat did your chickies get today?

Oats, scrambled eggs, bread, and some French toast the kids didn't eat.

went a little overboard for breakfast this morning. Strawberries, steamed veggies and cottage cheese mixed with some scratch because believe it or not, its COLD outside! Then I cut up a cantelope and decided to bring the seeds and rinds to them as well. they will be eating that until lunch!

Today is special. It is Saturday. My girls know that on Saturday they get to spend the whole day free ranging. For their midday treat, they had Greek yogurt with honey mixed in, a hamburger bun broken up with milk on top, a fresh peach sliced up in bites, and some chicken noodle soup. They love their mommy.

I've got horses but have never given the chickens sweet feed or bran mash. They do get the loose alfalfa from the floor of the hay trailer.

My divas got a yellow squash, a watermelon slice, 2 corn on the cob. And oatmeal with 2 over ripe bananas, shelled sunflower seeds, and a scoop of peanut butter.

Im feeling sick with strep, so i don't feel like cutting up treats today.
