My girls got a pumpkin that was starting to get soft. They pecked at it for a while and then I broke it in half so they could have at it. Happy girls!

I have to go through the garden on my way to the chicken coop, so on the way I grab some handfuls of whatever we have lots of. Right now they are getting lots of kale, broccoli, collards, mustard greens and turnip greens.

Last year before we got the chickens, I had a great garden year. We made about a million veggie burgers and stored them in the freezer. Seemed like a good idea at the time.... they are yummy, but we kinda got sick of them, so I've been defrosting them and giving them to the chickens. They LOVE them

Tomato cores and skins and onion ends, and a few broken crackers.

You might check on the onions, I didn't think that any of my livestock can have raw onion, or garlic.
Anyone else on this? Would love to know if my info is wrong!

Is it ok to give them cat grass? I just bought some to see if they like it.
