What treat did your chickies get today?

I picked up a vintage air popcorn popper about a month ago at Goodwill ($1.99) and have been using it about once a week to treat the chickens to some fresh popcorn, figured it was a decent and clean treat I could let the kids feed the chickens on their own...

Cleaning out the fridge before we leave town so the chickens made out like bandits! They got tomatoes, cucumber peels, a couple peaches, and corncobs. Happy chickens.

It is the end of the watermelon season here in North Carolina and all the stores have them on sale. So today my girls enjoyed an entire watermelon. Cut up and strewn about the yard of course.

a container of chick starter that they knocked over. silly me forgot to put the wire guard around it to keep feet from scratching and/or tipping it. also, a venison bone to pick the leftover meat from.

So far, just some frozen watermelon rinds. I need to clean out the refrigerator, so who knows what they'll get.

Anyone know if chickens like edamame? Me and my partner were on a health kick. Didn't last long so I have an abundant supply of edamame. Thinking of feeding it to my chickens, any thoughts ?

I eat my edamame, so I wouldn't know. They probably would. It's just soybeans.
