What treat did your chickies get today?

Some small tomatoes, which I split in half. They hadn't had tomatoes before and there were plenty for all but there was an instant rugby match nevertheless.

I tend to let them meet if they are around the same size. Two are two and a half, one is 9months and the newbie is POL

Normally I would buy a pair of new chooks (got the PR with the D'uccle) at a time. So they can 'share' the intro pecking etc but sill D'uccle visited the dogs next door

so that got screwed up. The new one is more of a 3/4 size chicken than a bantam, I thought it might give her an edge being introduced alone! The PR was delighted to have a young buddy again, ran right up to her and they've been hanging out even since!

Today we got corn, celery and a new brand of feed (which they think is a treat before it becomes the norm! lol)

Mealworms and crickets......now everytime I open the backdoor they come running over thinking I am giving them more!

They had the bottom half of a bag of organic freeze dried strawberries left over from one of DH's dried fruit kicks. They gottem all! And what he doesn't notice will make more room in my cabinet!
