What type of fan works best inside coop?

I think it’s hard to beat a powered gable vent or roof vent. If one is purchased with a built in thermostat and/or humidistat your golden.

Make sure to cover the intake side of fan with a piece of 1/2”x1/2” hardware cloth.

The added benefit of the mushroom fan in the winter time is the opening has been enough to allow any moisture to escape keeping humidity levels in check all winter long.

Add more windows and provide shade outside of the coop. If possible. Maybe add a ridge vent or gable vents. I wouldn't blow air onto the birds, but try to evacuate the hot air thereby drawing in cooler air. Chickens don't sweat so they will not benefit from air blowing over them. Plenty of water and you should be fine.
Good luck
My chicken's or Hens love to free land. They love to sit on my porch with me. My front porch is attached to my Mobil home. I always keep some kind of fan running during, the day. At night they go into their houses that I built way back. Mine love to sit and let the fan blow on them. I also fill water bottles with water and freeze, then put in their drinking water on my porch. They love their cold water in the summer time. I put about 3 to 4 frozen bottles in a big plastic bowl I bought from the Dollar Store. My Dogson love the ice cold water alsom

I use a box fan on the floor a few feet in front door of the open doors(pop and man) to draw fresh air in (it’s so hot out I don’t know if I can say it’s cooler air!) and blow it across the coop. Plenty of ventilation for hot air to rise and exit.

Hens will sit both in front of and behind the fan. They have plenty of space to choose from and in the fan breeze is a preferred spot.

I like the idea of attaching a cheap filter to the intake side to prolong fan life. I’m going to look into that right away

I have a 12x8 coop that is split 7x8 for chickens and 5x7 for storage separated by a 2x4 and chicken wire wall. The chicken side has a ceiling mount bathroom type exhaust fan that runs all the time. The storage side has an attic fan (my coop has an attic) that kicks on at 85 degrees. I have windows and vents placed low to suck in the cooler air up from under the coop. The girls are in and out of the coop all day. On super hot days they stay under the coop and lounge on the cool ground. I live in Missouri so it is hot and humid in the summers.

Sometimes they like an ice bottle.
