What Type Spider Is This?

AHHH! i had the same one in my duck house (which is currently not being used) when i went to get some hay to put on the garage floor (thats why the duck house is not being used! lol) i jumped and screamed and the thing started running around so i grabbed hay and just ran! that thing was big and spiders are one of my only fears! ahhhh!!!!

That looks like "scary" to me.

I keep a Shop Vac around for sucking up things like that.

Spiders are useful outdoors, but if they get into my house their days are numbered.

Could also be a nursery web spider, they very closely ressemble wolf spiders.

Looks like one of the many variations of wolf spiders. Harmless to you, great hunters. Can actually get quite large, but not as large as tarantulas.

This is my favorite place to go to identify bugs of anykind. Pretty interesting place to kill time...there are some pretty cool bugs in this world.

It was a large spider, but not nearly the biggest I've seen here. There was one in the garden once that the body was probably a half inch wide and two inches long...just the body, not the leg span! The closest pic I've seen so far in pictures is a wolf spider, though some of them are more brown and this one is black and gray. Found a neat marbled orb weaver under the railing on the stairs last year.

Well if they are going to eat harmful insects, by all means, let them in but not to populate with babies! One spider is enough LOL!

Well a couple months back i was delicing my chickens (they didn't have lice, but i sprayed em anyway).. only to look down and see a wolf spider a inch tops away from my hand starring at me, Threw bottle and ran about 30 feet in 2 seconds before i even looked back or a thought occured.. then i thought.. "Well luckily no one was around to see me run like a girl... *Walks back over, grabs bottle and beats it on the ground to knock anything else in/on the bottle out/off* and continue what i was doing

ETA: The spider in the bathtub just happened to be trying to climb out by the way.. And the spot where he was trying just happened to make him look straight up at me like he's coming after me.
