what unusual food did you feed your flock today?

This morning my chickens got 4 cupcakes with pink icing, black bean soup, chili, ranch style doritos and a package of hotdog buns. It was clean out the fridge day.

leftover lentil soup and rice. They ate it right up.

A mix of canned beef, bacon and cheddar dog food, cayenne powder, oatmeal, kelp and BOSS with mutton broth. It sounds awful but they LOVED it!

I made warm muesli cereal for them this morning.

We had shrimp last night and I threw them the leftover tails along with the rest of the scraps.

CherokeeCowGirl, you gave your chickens shrimp tails? I have been afraid to do so for fear they will get them caught in the throat.

Also I see lots of ppl. feeding red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper to their chickens in the food, is there a reason for it?

Today my peeps snacked on a ham bone and fat, half a dozen banana muffins, 4 ends of whole wheat bread, celery trimmings, crushed egg shells, the tiny pieces of cereal left at the bottom of the bag, and two leftover deviled eggs.

I always feed shrimp tails. It appears to be a favorite.
