the 2 that made it were perfectly formed and alive a few days ago--
the temps were good and the humidity was between 60-70% but when I woke up this morning the humidity had somehow jumped quite high, I only noticed it after I opened the eggs and foun dead chicks

days 1-18 were H 20-35% I think maybe that was too low

the air cells were pretty big

temps were 99.5- 100* however there were 2 temp spikes, and that is when I lost some embryos, but these 2 chicks made it to the end! It is so sad-I have been wanting these blue cochins for a long time, it is so sad to see a perfectly good chick fully formed and not make it out of shell

That must be what happened to them last night ,

poor little chickies, they were doing so well

I cannot understand why the humidity jumped like that

we got a ton of snow on the ground and my arthritis is bad today so I am thinking the weather made it change

What if there is condensation on the top panels of the bator(I have a LG) but not on the eggs, is the humidity good? I'm hatching with what came with the still-air LG box, I don't have a hydrometer. I have condensation on a few of the corners of the plexiglass panels but I don't see any on the eggs.
