What would cause this to happen to her wattles? ***Mystery solved***

**It was dried crusty oatmeal mixed with some very seriously hard to get off dirt** Thanks so much everyone, I am sorry I didn't consider this before posting. It really looked like something was wrong with her. It took a couple soakings, I used a washcloth with some warm water and baby soap and eventually everything washed off. Thanks again!


Yesterday I posted in the gender community about this little laddies questionable gender. When i took pictures of her yesterday she looked great!

It has been very hot the last week here in Oregon but the last two days it's been tolerable, today rainy! She's eating great, could this be from a lack of water? I had to put their water container on some bricks (still reachable) so they would stop getting shavings in it. I noticed yesterday they didn't seem to drink alot of it, but did see some of the girls drinking it just fine.

On a side note, I did feed them warm oatmeal the other morning but if it burnt her, wouldn't it show up before now?

Are you refering to the increased redness? I don't see anything else. Could you be more specific in what you are talking about that I don't see?

Or are you talking about the dirt on the bottom of her comb?

I think she means the black that seems to be around the bottom edges of the wattles. I have no idea though, myself

I can see the black "eye liner" and black along the edge. I'm sorry though, I don't know what it is. Someone will be along soon to help you.

I think I see some blood on her comb in the 2nd pic too. I would say somebody beat her up good. At least that's what it looks like to me.
