what would you put in a 1000 gallon tank?

My frilled lizard, Eddie . . . there's no such thing as too large a cage for him, as far as I'm concerned

I only have a little 29g Marine going right now ..just getting my feet wet with SW, actually. It has a lot of live rock, a puffer and a little mean damsel ..and surprisingly, two cleaner snails. (I can't risk any cleaner shrimp or hermit crabs cuz they aren't fast and they can't hide as well as the snails). I'd like to add one more fish, but I keep hearing mixed opinions on the fish that I like for the 3rd party (orchid dottyback or flame hawkfish)

Anyhooo... if I had a 1000g tank, I would absolutely fill it with Triggers or Box and Cow fish ...sooo cute! ...or one of the larger puffers and some other aggro fish.

My dream tank is a 100 - 200g reef with Mandarins and whatever else compatible with them. I love them!! (gotta keep working on the DH, though

cichlids are cool. I had a 10 gal tank once with some in it. They hide in the rocks and the females hold the eggs in their mouths and when they hatch they keep the babies in their mouth, and let them out for short periods when it is safe and then when other fish come near all the babies jam into their mom's mouth again.
It was not fun when we lived in an upstairs apartment with that huge tank and a 5pt EQ hit, that tank was really rocking and dumping water all over the carpet! But it didn't fall, pheww!

I had 500 gallons of tanks running at one time, but never 1000! My biggest was a 125 long, but my favorite was a 110 tall. Well, still is.

I left the 125 in Knoxville at my old place -- gonna sell it -- but I brought the 110 and the 90 and some smaller tanks with me to Lebanon. In fact, the 110 is currently running in the barn with some koi and goldfish in it!

One of the biggest problems with big tanks is the stinkin' weight of the things. I simply don't have floors strong enough here in the new place to hold a large filled tank. But the barn has two rooms with solid cement floors, so I put the tanks out there.
